We’re the people behind LightsPR, a team of consumer researchers who care a lot about getting lighting recommendations right.
Our backgrounds are in consumer research and product analysis, not electrical engineering. That means our superpower isn’t building lights, it’s reading the landscape of what real buyers experience and distilling it into guidance you can actually use.
What drives us
Most lighting review sites either list whatever suggests or write generic content that could apply to any product in any category. We’ve always found that frustrating, both as consumers ourselves and as researchers.
We believe that if someone is about to spend $80 on outdoor solar spotlights or $200 on a new pendant fixture, they deserve research that goes deeper than a product title and a star rating. So that’s what we try to provide.
Our research standards
Every piece of content published on LightsPR goes through the same process:
- Broad review analysis — We read buyer reviews in volume to identify real-world patterns, not just highlight the best quotes.
- Comparison across options — We look at the competitive landscape so our top pick isn’t just good in isolation, but good relative to what else is available.
- Regular updates — We revisit guides when product lines change, new options emerge, or we find better information.
A note on transparency
We’re Amazon Associates, which means we earn a commission on purchases made through our links. We want to be straightforward about that. It’s how we keep the site running, but it doesn’t change what we recommend. We’ve passed on featuring products that would have earned us more simply because the research didn’t support them.
If you ever have questions about a recommendation or want to challenge something we’ve written, we genuinely want to hear it. Contact Us.
